Second Hand on Váci Street

Today I'm going to write about a second hand on Váci Street. I chose this as my first topic, because when I was looking for second hands I was quite surprised when I found a shop like this on Váci Street. After all, this street is full of designer stores and leading fashion brands. Surrounded by these "elite" places, I was wondering what could this second hand offer. What I realized is that in an "upper-class" environment, even the second hand becomes elite.

What I realized at first is that in Hungarian it is written that the shop is a second a hand, but in English it is only an outlet, no reference of the used clothes. Since most of the visitors of Váci Street are foreign people, I suppose this was a direct marketing decision.
When I got in it surprised me a lot. It is huge. The store has THREE floors. It is spacious and bright. The music was youthful, one of the most popular radio stations broadcasted. The whole atmosphere was pleasant and cheerful. Huge panels show the sales of so many types of clothes.

My main problem is that it doesn't really fit in the second hand category. It is full of brands like S. Oliver, Mexx, Nautica, Pull and Bear, Burberry, etc. Although these clothes are much cheaper then the original prices and they have return labels, these clothes are just too expensive for the average Hungarian people. I spent there more than an hour, and I didn't hear a single Hungarian word. There were many customers, but they were all foreigners.
About the quality of the store: I was totally satisfied. The clothes were in great condition, they were all like new ones. The store was well-ordered, the clothes were under their brand labels, there are separate places for the different genders, for children and adults as well. The three floors have quite enough place for every kind of clothes to be seperated, like suits, skirts, coats, blazers or shirts. Accessories as belts, bags and jewelry were also available in a big number. The only problem with clothes is that it is difficult to find small sizes. There are many L, XL, or XXL ones, but you have to hunt for an S or M. The shop assistants were nice and smiling, and there was an elevator, if you are not willing to climb the stairs.
As I plan to pick a favorite outfit from each store I visit, I show you what I liked the most here:

Cardigan: International Conceprts, S size, 9000 Ft ( 41 US $)
Shirt: Alfani, P/M size, 13000 Ft (60 US $)

All in all I liked this shop, the quality and the atmosphere were both great, I had no problems with the assistants or the equipment. The clothes are mostly expensive, but if you have enough money for quality clothes I think it totally worth to visit the place.
